The Penson Fund was created to help youth who have experienced foster care maintain school enrollment and avoid financial challenges.
The funds can be used for expenses in the following categories:
- Security/utility deposits for apartments
- Food
- Auto repairs
- Rent
- Vocational/Tuition Fees
- Textbooks
- Utilities/Internet services
- School supplies or a laptop
- Gas
- Cell Phone Services
- Public Transportation
- Tutoring
- And More!
To receive Penson Fund assistance, you must be:
- In foster care or aged out of foster care in Arizona, ages 18 and up until the youth’s 21st birthday.
- Enrolled at university, college, community college or a vocational program.
- Employed (preferred, but not required).
- Prepared to develop a budget addressing how you will meet future financial needs
