You are anything but on your own when you attend the University of Arizona! Fostering Success supports students on their journey to and through the entire college process!
What is Fostering Success?
Fostering Success is a campus community that connects students that have experienced foster care or are struggling with homelessness, to peer mentors to help with academic struggles, social engagement, and basic needs. The UA staff are available to provide referrals for needed services and resources in the community. Each student participant that actively meets with their peer advisor qualifies for priority registration- that means first pick for your classes along with athletes and honors students!
We help students with:
- Financial Aid & scholarships
- Housing needs
- Access to resources like food, hygiene items, and clothing
- Academic support resources
- Assistance in working with case managers and support teams
New Start
Fostering Success is proud to partner with New Start, a six week summer program available to incoming freshmen and is FREE to attend for those that qualify for the Pell Grant. This is a chance for you to jump into college life and get ahead of your classmates by earning up to 7 units of credit.
